SHADY HOLLOW 2008 SEASON

With the official start of the 2008 Flea Market season just three....yes, three...weeks away, you would normally find us vendors hustling and hurrying to get ready for the season. Well, it seems we have suffered somewhat of a setback with this weekend's 18 inch plus snowfall! I keep looking at the calendar to make sure I have it on the right month, and people keep assuring me that yes, that's correct, it IS April 28th!!

So, I told myself today, that yes, that no matter what the day brought, I needed to trek out to my building, KittyKelli's at the flea market and get some work done, no matter what!! Well, I thought I would share some pictures of what I found upon my arrival today, Monday ~ April 28!!

I discovered I wasn't the first to make the trek, possibly not even the second!! At least the sun was out to greet me! And in reality, the temperature wasn't that bad, but the snow was deep and there were four foot drifts in places I've never seen drifts before! This must have been a wind from a direction we've never had!

If you look closely, way in the background in this shot, you can see Deb's shop, the yellow one, LaDeDa.........just last week she was so excited about being able to "drive out" in anticipation of getting ready and stocked, ha!! She shouldn't have waited!!

My shop, KittyKelli's, is the one you can see here, on the left, with the green roof. Here I am, at the road, contemplating my entrance....I actually could have probably driven in, if it wouldn't have been for about two, three feet drifts! I decided not to chance it........didn't want to be stuck at the flea market for the week until it all melts, and there's talk of more snow this Friday, which will be May 2nd!!

In closing today, all of the vendors would like to encourage and welcome you to Shady Hollow Flea Market this season. We know that gas prices are soaring, along with other goods and services. We hope you will check us out and enjoy your visit, find a great bargain, enjoy some great home cooked food, or escape from the strain of every day life, if even for a day!
If you have a question or comment for any of us, please feel free to leave it on any of our comment sections. We will do our best to accommodate any special requests and keep our prices affordable. We want to keep the flea market a fun, enjoyable, family event!
WELCOME TO SHADY HOLLOW 2008!!!
