Well, we almost made it through our two day weekend without any rain showers, almost! A big thank you to those that braved the weather, both hot and the rain on Sunday! Hopefully summer will be here one of these days, well, officially it was Sunday, June 21, when the summer solstice began! What that means to me is the days will now start getting shorter, yep, we start going the other way and losing daylight...........sorry!
On to the memory makers and gathering place! It's nice to see that Shady Hollow continues to be a gathering place for all walks of life! As I glanced out my door I saw a large gathering of people.......what's this, I thought? Grabbed my camera and out I went. I saw the Burnside girls snapping photos and someone from the group muttered, "Whose camera is that?" I had to chuckle to myself! Of course I had to reveal myself as the blogger for the market!
This wonderful group are the descendants of the Hatzenbihlers, including 23 children/grandchildren, who had come to Detroit Lakes from as far as Minneapolis and Rochester for a family reunion of sorts. They decided to take in Shady Hollow as part of their gathering and I learned that a few treasures and trinkets were found by the group!
Thanks for including Shady Hollow in your stay at Detroit Lakes and sharing your warm story with all of us! Hope to see you all again soon!

Actually, people came from as far away as Fresno, California and Omaha, Nebraska!
We all had a great time walking around the flea market!
I cannot find your hours of operation anywhere. The site states that you open at 6:00 AM for vendors. Please post so I can show up early. Thanks!
